Ghana education service are urged to enroll corruption studies as subject to educate students on corruption and it negative consequences on the nation development.
Very Rev Emmanuel Twumasi- Ankrah, Executive Director of Synagogue council of churches and pastors association who made this request during the association national thanksgiving proposed that integrity , attitude and corruption studies should be introduced to GES curriculum so that the future leaders would be well and endowed with consequences of corruption to help minimise it in the country.
He explained that if Ghana Education Service walk with the suggestion it will expose the students to acquire knowledge to easily identify corruptible practices and circumstances which lead to the act.
Rev Emmanuel stated that the main objective of education is to solve problems with the knowledge acquired, so if the country has Knowledgeable leaders but struggle solve the country’s challenges, why do we go to school? he quizzed.
He futher indicated that there are traditional courses which are not helping students to tackle the country’s problem after schhol, hence the government should replace it with courses it will help solve some of Ghana problems immediately after school.
