Bus drivers and Residents at Kumasi Alabar in the Ashanti Region, has passionately appealed to the Ghana Police Service to come out with combat measures to fight the notorious robbers.
Drivers who ply Bolgatanga, Tamale and Naverongo Road expressed displeasure about the rising armed robbers on the country’s highways.
According to the Chairman for the New Ghana Transport Union located at Kumasi Alabar, Chairman Alhaji Issah Soldier, noted that both drivers and passengers have been harassed by armed robbers on the highways and in the process lost their lives.

Chairman Soldier revealed that, such robberies usually occur on Sundays, Mondays and Night respectively.
Meanwhile, the Zongo Divisional police commander, Crime officer Mr Kwame Appiah Kubi has assured that security would be tight to protect drivers and people of Alabar.
Police therefore cautioned residents and drivers to comport themselves to avoid the wrath of the police.
They gave the assurance in an education meeting with the drivers and people of Alabar.
